The Relationship Between the Manas and the Mind Consciousness

Who is the dream-maker? On what basis does he create dreams? Who is the one who has become lost, unable to distinguish between inside and outside the dream? Why does the subconscious hold so many secrets? Where do these secrets come from? Why does the mind consciousness have no secrets? The manas manages the storehouse of the tathāgatagarbha, watching over the tathāgatagarbha; the mind consciousness manages the storehouse of the manas, keeping watch over the manas. Quite interesting. The one being watched over possesses the treasures, while the watcher enjoys the treasures. The one being watched over is the master, possessing great function; the watcher is the servant, living off the master.
