The steadfastness of the Tathāgatagarbha is revealed through observation to be supremely powerful. In the functioning of all dharmas, regardless of the circumstances encountered, it remains unmoving and unshaken. Let the winds blow from east, west, south, or north—it abides in serene stillness. Even if Mount Tai were to press down, its posture would not bend. Regardless of right or wrong, truth or falsehood, it naturally pays no heed, operating spontaneously according to the established principles. The Buddha proclaimed it to be the Śūraṅgama Samādhi, which never enters into samādhi nor emerges from it. Unshakable and immovable upon all dharmas, it is matchless, a true precious mountain.
