Unblocking the Energy Channels

Q: Recently during meditation, I've been experiencing sharp tinnitus. Can I just ignore it and let it pass without paying attention?

A: This phenomenon occurs when the qi channels reach the supreme truth root behind the ears at the back of the head but cannot pass through, indicating a blockage in the ear root. You may choose to disregard it and let it resolve naturally, though this process may be slow. To expedite it, employ corresponding remedial methods such as tapping or massaging the back of the head. This can help the qi channels pass through sooner, leading to clearer thinking.

You may also use visualization techniques to accelerate the passage of qi channels. Visualize Buddha's light entering the back of your head, while dark energy is expelled from the Baihui acupoint at the crown. As the qi channels traverse the entire head, mental clarity and joy arise. Visualize golden Buddha's light illuminating the affected area, with pathogenic energy and karmic obstacles being expelled from around the afflicted region. If blockages exist elsewhere in the body, similarly visualize them being expelled through the Baihui acupoint. When meditative stability is insufficient, the pathogenic energy may stagnate midway during its movement, causing pain in other parts of the body.

Qi channels are material forms of matter and can be directed by the conscious mind. With meditative concentration, one gains the power to regulate the flow of qi channels, thereby achieving physical regulation. Once the body is regulated, the mind can then be regulated.

Eye ailments similarly arise from qi being obstructed at the supreme truth root behind the head and failing to pass through, and they can be addressed using the same methods. Regulating the liver or nourishing the kidneys can also serve as remedies. For some individuals, the root cause lies in liver and kidney deficiencies, leading to eye and ear problems.

An auxiliary dietary method to unblock internal organ qi channels involves frequently consuming boiled radish soup. This can enhance the sufficiency and vigor of qi flow. Drinking radish soup regularly in winter promotes physical health. When qi channels are abundant, the sensation of qi is favorable, the body feels comfortable, the mind becomes settled and concentrated, and meditation yields excellent results.
