On the path of learning Buddhism, one will inevitably encounter many ditches and hurdles. It doesn't matter if you cannot cross them for the time being; as long as you persevere and keep making efforts, you will eventually be able to cross the hurdle of views. As long as you do not assume that everything you understand is correct, remain humble within, engage in much contemplative practice (vipaśyanā-caryā), think carefully, and frequently repent of karmic obstructions, your progress on the path will advance. What is to be feared is the mind of arrogance. Arrogance is the greatest obstruction to the Path, and if one does not even know that one has a mind of arrogance, that is real trouble.
