The Realm and Magnetic Field Perceived by the Seventh Consciousness

The object-aspect of essential realm (the realm of essential substance) is contacted by the eighth consciousness; among the realms bearing essence, the true essence-bearing realm is contacted by the seventh consciousness, while the semblant essence-bearing realm and the false essence-bearing realm are contacted by the sixth consciousness; the realm of real substance is contacted by the five sense consciousnesses; and the subjectively imagined realm is contacted by the solitary consciousness (mano-vijñāna-eka-citta).

A magnetic field is material form (rūpa); what can perceive material form are the seven consciousnesses, with the perception of the seventh consciousness being primary. The sixth consciousness, generally speaking, is baffled and does not know the subtleties involved, while the seventh consciousness knows but cannot speak. The greatest magnetic field effect occurs in the essence-bearing realm, because it carries a relatively large amount of the particles of the four great elements from the essential realm, and therefore its influence is relatively great.
