Explaining the Principles of Quantum Mechanics through Yogācāra

Quantum mechanics description: A stationary particle decays, producing two photons that travel in opposite directions over extremely long distances. When one photon is measured or interacted with, the other photon responds accordingly. Why is this?

Because the two photons share the same origin, emerging from the same particle. This particle is composed of the four elements' seeds from a single tathāgatagarbha. These seeds of the four elements are intrinsically interconnected, regardless of the spatial distance between them. In reality, the space between the two photons is void—this void is composed of the space element, which fundamentally does not exist. The space element has no distance; it is nothingness. Thus, there is no concept of distance between the two photons. No matter how far apart they may be in the conventional physical realm, they essentially belong to the same particle, the same tathāgatagarbha, sharing identical functional properties. Therefore, when one changes, the other undergoes the same change—due to their shared origin.

All matter in the entire world is formed by the aggregation of the four elements from sentient beings sharing collective karma. Naturally, everything is closely interconnected, where a slight disturbance in one part may trigger vast repercussions. Yet, this interconnectedness is far less intimate than the bond between photons originating from the same particle. Since void space has no inherent reality and no intrinsic nature, does time still exist? In truth, each of us could reach the realization of emptiness with just a little more exertion. Why, then, can we not muster this effort? When will we be able to exert it?
