Illusions Created by Various Lenses

Magnifying glasses, concave and convex lenses, funhouse mirrors, and microscopes operate on the same principle as myopia and presbyopia glasses; they all function to alter the form-dust (rūpa-dhātu), the visible objects transmitted by the Tathāgatagarbha. These lenses then convey the altered form-dust to the material sense organs (floating-dust roots) and the supramundane sense faculties (supreme-meaning roots). Consequently, the inner form-dust within the black box is formed through the repeated transformation effected by multiple layers of media. Given this, what reality can be claimed for the form-dust perceived by sentient beings through these lenses? How much do they differ from the original, essential state of the external realm? What tangible form, capable of being touched or utilized, do they possess in substance?
