2021 New Year Greetings

Wishing everyone in the new year a healthy physical body, free from illness and afflictions, with ease of body and mind, unobstructed in studying the Dharma, and may all things go smoothly with auspiciousness and fulfillment!

May everyone eliminate the karmic obstructions accumulated from past lives, so that the obstructions on the path of learning Buddhism become ever lighter, the power of the Path grows ever stronger, bravely breaking through all difficulties and fearing no hardship whatsoever. In the new year, may your roots of goodness grow ever deeper, your merit ever more abundant, your power of merit ever more vast, your foundation in the Buddhadharma ever more solid, your observance of precepts ever more strict, your power of meditative concentration (samādhi) ever stronger, and your power of wisdom (prajñā-bala) ever more profound. 

May you continuously perfect the cultivation of the thirty-seven aids to the Path and the bodhisattvas' six perfections, striving to eliminate self-view (ātma-dṛṣṭi) as soon as possible, to be freed from the suffering of the three evil destinies, to awaken to the true mind and realize the Way at an early date, to understand the truth of the universe, with mind opened and understanding resolved, attaining great bodhi. May you plant many seeds of bodhi, and may your wholesome karmic connections with sentient beings grow ever deeper and broader. May you vow to forever benefit yourself and benefit others as a bodhisattva, perfecting the bodhisattva path, so that the seeds of bodhi may sprout and bear fruit soon, accomplishing the Buddha Way. In future lives, may you widely establish Buddha-lands, manifest in countless bodies, extensively deliver immeasurable sentient beings, and guide all sentient beings to attain great liberation!
