Consciousness should carefully ponder the issue, thoroughly understand it, and condense the entire meaning of the question into a single point, deeply embedding it within manas. In this way, the issue is entrusted to manas. At this stage, consciousness may engage in thought or refrain from thinking; sometimes thinking is necessary, while other times it is best to remain quietly without thought. It is optimal to cooperate with manas without diverting the attention of either oneself or manas, since if consciousness becomes occupied with other matters, it will inevitably transmit information to manas, thereby increasing manas' burden. This prevents manas from concentrating fully and thus hinders its ability to deliberate and arrive at the correct conclusion.
