All dharmas are empty, yet the eighth consciousness is not empty.

There is not the slightest dharma that can grasp even the slightest dharma. The grasping seven consciousnesses, and the grasped myriad dharmas, thousands of dharmas, hundreds of millions of dharmas—both are entirely empty and illusory. All dharmas are images of the eighth consciousness; their essence is all the eighth consciousness. Sentient beings can only see the images, and the images are all empty; there is no grasping mind of the seven consciousnesses, nor any grasped realm of dharmas. There is not the slightest dharma that can grasp other dharmas. That is to say, apart from the eighth consciousness, everything is empty and illusory—the grasping seven consciousnesses are empty, and all the grasped object-aspects (nimitta) are empty. Apart from emptiness there is only emptiness, while the eighth consciousness is not empty. When a bodhisattva realizes this kind of wisdom, he enters the home of the Tathāgata.
