The Mutual Attraction and Complementarity of the Four Great Particles: The Marvelous Function of Tathagatagarbha

When the eyes are fatigued, looking at the green scenery outside the window can alleviate eye strain, which in turn affects the liver. The liver is associated with the color green, and protecting the liver requires consuming green vegetables, as green corresponds to the liver. Colors are also composed of the four fundamental elements. When the four elements differ, their wavelengths differ, resulting in different colors. The liver is likewise composed of the four fundamental elements. The four elements of green possess a mutually attractive and nourishing relationship with the four elements of the liver. Therefore, consuming a green diet protects the liver, and viewing green plants protects the liver. All these are the wondrous functions of the Buddha-nature. Matters within the dharmadhātu are arranged in perfect order. It is unknown whether someone arranged it this way or whether it is inherently so—the Suchness of Dharma.
