Initially, the Earth was vast and devoid of people.
Celestial beings descended and consumed the earth's essence.
Their bodies grew heavy, rendering them flightless, and their wings were broken.
Thus, humans came to be on Earth, becoming the primordial ancestors.
Therefore, my ancestors were fallen celestial beings,
Yet I am not a celestial being—I am purely human,
A descendant of those fallen angels,
Having undergone countless cycles of rebirth,
Long since stripped of the title "celestial being,"
And devoid of their noble appearance or divine powers.
Thus, I too am fallen.
Why did the celestial beings fall?
Merely because they craved the flavor of the earth's essence.
From then on, they settled and multiplied on Earth.
At first, their bodies were light as clouds, their minds free from desire, pure and tranquil.
Later, as cravings gradually tainted them, they differentiated into two sexes, male and female.
Thus, offspring began to multiply,
Generation after generation, forming tribes, clans, families, and nations.
Hence, clan leaders and nobles arose to govern these tribes and nations.
Human customs gradually solidified into established traditions—
Tilling the land, weaving cloth, marriage alliances, wealth, sensual pleasures, fame, food, and sleep—
Consumed by intense cravings, seeking nothing beyond worldly human affairs.
Confined within this prison, when will they become celestial beings again?
