Endure him, yield to him, and observe him after a few years; let him strive, let him contend, let him be first, let him be exalted, allowing all appearances to dwell within his mind. Yet we must empty out all appearances—the more empty, the better; the more cowardly, the better; the more selfless, the better. When the four marks are emptied and purified, with no attachments or hindrances, the mind attains liberation, achieving Eternal Bliss, True Self, and Purity, enough to attain Buddhahood with ease! Thus, who will be the first in the end? Who will prevail? The wise act without action, while the foolish cling to desires!
