The tathāgatagarbha is like being on the internet, publishing information about its own five aggregates (pañca-skandha) at all times and places, keeping nothing secret. Then the tathāgatagarbha obtains information from another tathāgatagarbha and lets the manas know about it; the manas then discerns the information of that five-aggregate body. This is the relationship of resonance and intercommunication among sentient beings, also called the sharing of information among tathāgatagarbhas. The tathāgatagarbha can, at any time and place, take in all information outside the five-aggregate body—all the realms of the six sense objects—and the manas can also, at any time and place, come into contact with them. For information that is useful and significant, the manas will alert the mind consciousness to know it; for unimportant information, the manas handles it itself—either ignoring it or storing it in the tathāgatagarbha.
If sentient beings' six consciousnesses could share information with one another without concealment, everything being transparent with no dark corners, there would be no killing, stealing, sexual misconduct, or lying—how wonderful the world would be, and how relaxed and joyful living would be. The minds of all the Buddhas are transparent, without concealment. Among bodhisattvas who possess supernatural powers, the minds are also transparent, without concealment. Only such a quality of life is the highest.
