In the practice of Buddhism, one learns the formless Dharma. The mind must gradually detach from the mundane world; only when the mind departs from the secular and abandons attachments can it gradually become pure and unconditioned, thereby aligning with the unconditioned Dharma beyond the mundane world. If even the most ordinary worldly festival causes one to care and conform, binding the mind tightly to the mundane without cultivating detachment, how can liberation be attained? The worldly are hopelessly vulgar, while practitioners ultimately seek to transcend the mundane. Therefore, we must not become too entangled with worldly affairs, sinking deeply into the mundane realm without awareness or escape. To act contrary to the Way—when will we ever tread the great path of liberation?
