Original text from the "Chapter on Pure Practices" in the Avatamsaka Sutra: If all bodhisattvas skillfully apply their minds, they will attain all supreme and wondrous merits.
This passage illustrates that all dharmas are mind-only, arising solely from the three transforming consciousnesses. All phenomena are created by the mind; the three transforming consciousnesses collectively create through their union. The seven consciousnesses are deluded: a wholesome mind yields wholesome fruits, an unwholesome mind yields unwholesome fruits, a noble mind yields noble fruits. These fruits are generated from the karmic seeds within the Tathagatagarbha. Therefore, spiritual practice is the cultivation of the mind. Practice that neglects mind-cultivation is not true practice.
Dedication Verse: We dedicate all merits from Dharma propagation and group practice on our online platform to all sentient beings throughout the Dharma realm, and to people worldwide. May the world enjoy peace, free from the outbreak of war; may conflicts cease and weapons forever rest; may all calamities completely dissipate! May people of all nations unite in mutual aid, extending kindness to one another; may favorable weather bless the land, and nations prosper in tranquility! May all beings deeply believe in cause and effect, embracing compassion and refraining from killing; may they widely cultivate virtuous connections and wholesome deeds; may faith in the Buddha and Buddhist practice flourish, nurturing the growth of wholesome roots; may they recognize suffering, abandon its origins, seek cessation, and cultivate the path; may they close the door to evil destinies and open the path to Nirvana! May Buddhism eternally flourish, and the true Dharma abide forever; may the burning house of the triple realm be transformed into the lotus land of ultimate bliss!
