Yogācārabhūmi-śāstra, Volume 34 (Part 43)

How, again, is impermanence contemplated through the practice of dharmata (intrinsic nature)?

It refers to thus comprehending as it truly is the dharmata that is to arise in the future regarding all momentary impermanence, destructive impermanence, and separation impermanence, which have not yet converged in the present life. Such conditioned phenomena (samskara) possess a dharmata that is to arise in the future. Categories such as these are termed "comprehending the impermanence of dharmata."

How, again, is impermanence contemplated through the practice of convergence?

It refers to thus comprehending as it truly is the momentary impermanence, destructive impermanence, and separation impermanence that are presently converging and manifesting in the present life. Such conditioned phenomena are presently converging and manifesting in the present life. Categories such as these are termed "comprehending the impermanence of convergence."

Regarding these five aspects of impermanence in all internal and external conditioned phenomena, one should apply attention (manasikara) and cultivate them accordingly through the five practices. By repeatedly cultivating thus, one attains decisive certainty.
