Original text:下品道修者。谓由此故。能断最粗上品烦恼。中品道修者。谓由此故。能断所有中品烦恼。上品道修者。谓由此故。能断所有最后所断下品烦恼。

Explanation: The cultivation of the lower-grade path means that by means of this cultivation, one can eliminate the coarsest and most severe afflictions of the superior grade. The cultivation of the middle-grade path means that by means of this cultivation, one can eliminate all the afflictions of the middle grade. The cultivation of the superior-grade path means that by means of this cultivation, one can eliminate all the afflictions of the inferior grade that are the last to be eliminated.
