The five aggregates, eighteen elements, and twelve sense bases come into being through the convergence of various causes and conditions, and they cease to exist when these causes and conditions disperse. How should one comprehend this principle? The conscious mind can grasp a general understanding through thought, yet one can also recognize that this is not true comprehension; a deep and precise understanding of its meaning, grounded in reason and evidence, is still required. This necessitates holding this principle in mind during meditation, allowing the faculty of intellect to contemplate it single-mindedly, engaging in continuous and meticulous reflection at all times. The contemplation by the faculty of intellect is subtle, uninterrupted, and unattached to objects; it possesses a certain level of elevation and depth, which is termed "viewing from a higher perspective."
