The Influence of the Brain on the Operation of Consciousness

The eighth consciousness, as long as it manifests dharmas, the mental faculty necessarily depends on the eighth consciousness to perceive and discern. Although the mental faculty itself has no issues, when the brain malfunctions, the mental faculty cannot properly command the body's movements through the brain's nervous system, and consciousness is also affected. Only after the brain returns to normal can the thinking of consciousness function properly. In future lives, when the brain is normal, the mental faculty's command and control can function normally, and conscious thinking activities can also proceed normally.
