The Relationship between the Manas and Mind Consciousness

Who is the dream-maker? On what basis are dreams created? Who is it that has become lost, unable to distinguish between inside and outside the dream? Why does the subconscious hold so many secrets? Where do those secrets come from? Why does the mind consciousness have no secrets? The manas manages the storehouse of the tathāgatagarbha, watching over the tathāgatagarbha; the mind consciousness manages the storehouse of the manas, guarding the manas. Quite interesting. The one being guarded has the treasures, while the one guarding enjoys the treasures. The one being guarded is the master, possessing great function; the one guarding is the servant, depending on the master for a living.
