All things in heaven and earth, taking them is all theft.

Everything in heaven and earth, when taken, is stealing; all feelings are karmic formations, all carrying the retribution of birth and death, differing only in the weight and the wholesome or unwholesome nature of those karmic formations. Whether wholesome or unwholesome, as long as it is a conditioned dharma, it will inevitably invite the suffering of birth and death. Because among heaven, earth, and all things, there is not a single thing that belongs to you—including your physical body and conscious mind—all of it is stolen from the tathāgatagarbha. Only after completely eradicating the view of self (satkāya-dṛṣṭi) will one no longer violate the precept against stealing; only by not violating the precept against stealing can one attain buddhahood.
