Most bodhisattvas generally spread the Dharma and benefit beings within the human realm, though their meditative concentrations differ. Bodhisattvas who have attained the First Ground or higher must possess the meditative concentration of the form realm at the level of the first dhyāna or above, while their physical bodies remain in the human realm, dwelling among sentient beings. A minority of bodhisattvas cultivate and liberate beings within various heavenly realms. In terms of the realization of meditative concentration and the eradication of afflictions, the minds of bodhisattvas at the First Ground and beyond have transcended the desire realm, being free from the afflictions and attachments of the desire realm.
