The Gracious Virtue of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas (II)

A drop of kindness should be repaid with a gushing spring. Yet can we repay the gushing-spring kindness of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas with merely a drop? So many people do not contemplate the kindness of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, but instead slander the Three Jewels, turn against their good teachers, and treat beneficial friends as enemies and adversaries. Those who know neither gratitude nor righteousness will cut off the great path of liberation and forever suffer the torment of the three lower realms.
