Why Is the Body Honest?

When a person craves a certain food, it indicates that the body lacks something. Who exactly is the one craving it, who understands the body's needs so well? The body is the most honest, while language can be extremely deceptive. Why is the body honest and unable to deceive people? Why can language fabricate falsehoods and easily deceive people? The neurons in the body are very closely connected with the manas; any tiny change in the body is known by the manas through the tathāgatagarbha, so the body's signals of need will prompt the manas to resolve them, and the manas will then produce all kinds of thoughts and ideas. These are signals sent out directly by the body; the mind consciousness learns of them one step later than the manas, or may not learn of them at all. Language, on the other hand, is a function of the mind consciousness, which may not be consistent with the manas's mentality and does not necessarily represent the manas's thoughts and ideas. When the two are inconsistent, that is fabrication.
