All Buddhas and Bodhisattvas possess a mind-made body, where "mind" refers to the mind-consciousness. Once the mind-consciousness stirs with intention and thought, the Tathagatagarbha responds, manifesting countless transformation bodies, also known as mind-made bodies. Each mind-made body possesses a complete set of the five aggregates and the six consciousnesses. Since the mind-made body arises from the stirring of the mind-consciousness, all such transformation bodies belong to the form, five aggregates, and consciousnesses owned by this single mind-consciousness. One mind-consciousness corresponds to one Tathagatagarbha, and each transformation body possesses a complete set of eight consciousnesses.
Ordinary beings lack meditative concentration and wisdom; no matter how much their mind-consciousness stirs with thoughts, intentions, or mental activity, they cannot produce divided bodies or transformation bodies due to the lack of power in their mind-consciousness. Once the mind-consciousness possesses sufficient power, every thought manifests as all phenomena; when the mind-consciousness lacks power, no thought accomplishes anything.
