Last night, withered branches were battered by wind and rain; this morning, mist and dew are lit by the slanting sun. In past lives, thought after thought was filled with feelings for old friends; in this life, we have forgotten each other and become strangers.
A single instance of impermanence is enough to change all our states of mind of craving and grasping, enough to make us abandon all our notions.
