Plants Are Not Sentient Beings

Plants have growth periods and annual rings, but there is no activity of the seven consciousnesses or eight consciousnesses within their life. Therefore, plants are not sentient beings, and since they are not sentient beings, they do not undergo rebirth. They serve as the environmental retribution for the survival of sentient beings, manifested through the karma of sentient beings. If sentient beings possess blessings, the plants they manifest will be flourishing and precious; otherwise, they will be barren and decayed.
