2021 New Year Wishes

Wishing everyone in the new year a healthy and well physical body, free from illness and afflictions, lightness and ease of body and mind, unobstructed study of the Dharma, and smooth success in all matters — auspiciousness and fulfillment in everything!

May everyone eliminate the karmic obstacles accumulated from past lives, so that the obstructions on the path of learning Buddhism become ever lighter, the power of the Path ever stronger, bravely breaking through all difficulties and fearing no hardship or suffering. In the new year, may your roots of goodness grow ever deeper, your merit ever more abundant, your virtuous accomplishments ever more vast, your foundation in the Buddhadharma ever more solid, your observance of precepts ever more strict and clear, your power of meditative concentration (samādhi) ever stronger, and your power of wisdom (prajñā-bala) ever deeper. 

May you continuously perfect the cultivation of the thirty-seven factors of the Path and the bodhisattva's six perfections, strive to eradicate the view of self (satkāya-dṛṣṭi) as soon as possible, be freed from the suffering of the three evil destinies, attain seeing the mind and awakening to the Path at an early date, understand the truth of the universe, have the mind open and the meaning resolved, and attain great bodhi. May you plant many seeds of bodhi, and may your wholesome karmic connections with sentient beings grow ever deeper and broader. May you vow to forever benefit both self and others as a bodhisattva, perfect the bodhisattva path, and may the seeds of bodhi sprout and bear fruit soon, accomplishing the Buddha Way. In future lives, may you widely establish Buddha-lands, manifest countless emanated bodies, widely deliver immeasurable sentient beings, and guide all sentient beings to attain great liberation!
