The Innate Wisdom of the Manas Comes from the Perfuming of Countless Kalpas

When a hen incubates chicks for the first time, she already knows how to brood, how to turn the eggs with her beak, and how to keep them warm. The hen's mind consciousness has never learned how to incubate—so why does the hen instinctively know how to hatch chicks?

The hen's mind consciousness is newly born, with no connection to past lives; in this life her mind consciousness has never studied incubation techniques, cannot read books to acquire knowledge, has no one to teach her, and no other hens have taught her either. The mind consciousness absolutely has had no opportunity to learn, yet the hen knows how to hatch eggs. Why is this so?

Some children, at three or four years of age, can already compose and perform music. Their mind consciousness is also newly born; they have never studied composition, no one has taught them, and they cannot read musical scores—yet they are born able to compose and perform. How can this be?

All of these are kinds of wisdom carried over from past lives by the manas—wisdom innately endowed in the manas, the result of cultivation and immersion over countless kalpas.
