The Thousand-Handed and Thousand-Eyed

The Ghost King possesses one thousand eyes; the seeds of eye-consciousness flow into the thousand eye faculties, enabling all thousand eyes to perceive form simultaneously.

He has one thousand hands and feet; the seeds of body-consciousness flow simultaneously into the thousand hands and thousand feet, allowing the thousand hands and thousand feet to function simultaneously.

For example, a person’s entire body, from head to toe, constitutes the body faculty. When the seeds of body-consciousness flow into all parts of the body faculty, the entire body, inside and out, can function simultaneously.

A person has numerous mental thoughts; the seeds of mental-consciousness flow into the various objects of mental perception (dharma-dust), enabling the mind-consciousness to extensively discriminate, apply attention, engage in contact, sensation, perception, and volition, and widely create karmic actions.

Regarding the Great Compassionate Thousand-Handed, Thousand-Eyed Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva, which eye is the primary one?
