The Seven Great Seeds are permanent dharmas, neither born nor destroyed, belonging to the Tathāgatagarbha. They are the seeds inherently possessed by the Tathāgatagarbha, which uses these seeds to produce all dharmas. The essence of the Seven Great Seeds is the Tathāgatagarbha itself. Since the Seven Great Seeds have never been born, they cannot be destroyed. No dharma can produce the Seven Great Seeds. Wherever the Tathāgatagarbha exists, the Seven Great Seeds are present. Even within the arhat's nirvana without residue, the Seven Great Seeds remain indestructibly within the Tathāgatagarbha. Wherever the Seven Great Seeds exist, the Tathāgatagarbha must be present; wherever the Tathāgatagarbha exists, the Seven Great Seeds must be present. Therefore, both the Seven Great Seeds and the Four Great Seeds are neither born nor destroyed.
