All sharp arrows are shot from one's own mind and reach nowhere else. Therefore, harming others is harming oneself, and benefiting others is benefiting oneself!
All sentient beings shoot arrows and are shot within the one true dharma realm; they all shoot at the one true dharma realm, yet the one true dharma realm is unharmed and undamaged. If one does not understand this principle, that is ignorance (avidyā). With deep and heavy ignorance, one will inevitably sink into birth-and-death and be unable to attain liberation!
The one true dharma realm is a great net, netting the myriad dharmas, hundreds of millions of dharmas, hundreds of millions upon millions of dharmas, endless and inexhaustible dharmas within it. The tathāgatagarbha is the immovable place of practice (bodhimaṇḍa), reaching everywhere, encompassing all dharmas, with not a single dharma outside of it. The manas follows it, pervading everywhere, perceiving all dharmas universally, without needing to come or go, without needing to move. The six consciousnesses follow the manas, also without needing to come or go; all discriminate, distinguish, and act within the tathāgatagarbha, never leaving the bodhimaṇḍa while performing buddha-work.
Within the Buddha's bodhimaṇḍa, whatever one does is buddha-work. Even Māra Pāpīyas, in destroying the Buddha's dharma, is performing buddha-work—there is no māra-work, because all dharmas are the Buddha's dharma; all are the tathāgatagarbha; none transcend the tathāgatagarbha, none transcend the one true dharma realm. Therefore Māra does not perform māra-work; māra-work is precisely buddha-work, without duality or difference! If anyone makes the distinction between māra and Buddha, that is ignorance (avidyā); without eradicating ignorance, one cannot attain buddhahood.
