The Seeming Prajna Cultivated Before Enlightenment Cannot Lead to Liberation

Some people wish to train themselves in daily life to "abide nowhere while giving rise to the mind," yet without awakening and without having seen the true mind that abides nowhere, they cannot succeed in this training no matter how hard they try. This is a matter to be undertaken after awakening; it cannot be achieved before awakening. Before awakening, one can only suppress their own mind, cultivating a resemblance of prajna. However closely this resemblance may imitate the true state, it is not genuine and cannot lead to liberation.
