A practitioner who has attained a certain level of enlightenment often introspects and discovers that the "I" deep within constantly seeks to emerge. This is a positive sign, as those without enlightenment remain unaware of it. When this emerging "I" is noticed, observe it: investigate where it comes from, where it goes, how it arises, how it ceases, how it operates, what mental formations accompany it, and what purpose it serves.
Consistently observing in this manner will inevitably lead to significant discoveries. Such a practitioner should not deliberately suppress themselves; instead, allow this "I" to surface, apprehend it, and thoroughly examine it to understand its origins and trajectory. Great gains will surely follow.
Similarly, when dealing with afflictions in the future, do not deliberately suppress them. Observe where afflictions arise, swiftly apprehend them, and subject them to careful examination and investigation. Through this, transformation is certain.
Cultivation is best pursued within the Saha world itself, for every moment presents an opportunity to apprehend the "thief." Once the thief is captured and recognized, one’s own treasure will no longer be lost.
