Yogācārabhūmi-śāstra, Volume 34 (22)

Original text:

Explanation: How does one observe the impermanent nature of the variations produced by illness in internal matters (bhūmi-vastu)? It is by observing that oneself or others previously had no illness and were peaceful, happy, and robust, and later seeing that oneself or others suffered from severe illness and intense sickness, encountering sharp and violent painful feelings in the body, as extensively described before. Then at another time, one again sees that oneself or others are free of illness, peaceful, happy, and robust. After observing these phenomena, the thought arises in the mind: such conditioned formations (saṃskāra) are truly impermanent in their nature.
