On January 25, 2026, while doing housework and contemplating the impurity of the physical body, I understood that the physical body is essentially a large-scale waste disposal system, recycling and processing various excretions resulting from饮食 and sexual activities. People in the world strive and compete with each other, but in the end, they are actually competing for excrement. When people occupy wealth and resources, it is to cherish the physical body and serve the five aggregates, yet the interior of the five aggregates and the physical body is filled with excrement. Isn’t that equivalent to cherishing impurity and competing for impurity? When I thought of this, I could not help but let out a long sigh, feeling deeply the suffering of sentient beings. I also thought of the compassion and wisdom of the Tathāgatagarbha, which, to satisfy the cravings of the mind faculty, creates the physical body for the mind faculty to enjoy, and also takes responsibility for cleaning up all kinds of impurities afterward, working tirelessly without complaint or words. Taking refuge in It means learning Its virtue. At night, I continued contemplation in my dreams, and then I felt that my oral cavity and the surrounding area became empty.
After the disciple saw the master return, meditative concentration has been maintained quite well. The body and mind are relatively light, peaceful, and stable, with no afflictions. Progress in contemplation has been quite evident. Often, I find myself in a state of absorption and wandering, with my mind fixed on the dharma being contemplated. When my eyes see forms, I do not discern the specific form-objects; when my ears hear sounds, I do not discern the specific sound-objects. I often feel as if I am being forcefully pulled back from another space. Sometimes, when listening to others speak, I feel a wave of affliction pressing down on me, causing my heart to tremble with anxiety and oppression, and I do not wish to respond. My replies are often irrelevant, or I just utter a simple "mm" or "oh."
Recently, there have not been many changes. I only feel that not only do I engage in contemplation during the day, but I often do so in dreams as well. Then, in dreams, I exhale, and sometimes I experience the phenomenon of the body (or parts of it) becoming empty. There is nothing else. My emotions are relatively stable, with no particular joy or fluctuation. I feel that the whole person is simply faint, light, calm, and peaceful, with no significant reactions or waves toward people or matters. Yesterday, I recalled the Bodhisattva’s words and felt the Bodhisattva’s loving-kindness. My heart felt warm, and my nose tingled with a bit of sourness. I felt both a little happy and a little aggrieved, like a child who had suffered and wandered outside for a long time and finally found the way home.
Tonight, while sitting in meditation, I felt my whole body tingling, numb, and swollen, as if an electric current was passing through my entire body. There was also a slight stabbing pain, like being enveloped in a strong electric current. I felt as if there was another self standing outside my body, very clearly seeing streams of golden electric current flowing within my body. Then, there was great pressure on my eardrums, and somehow, it seemed as if everything around me was suddenly blocked off.
