Tathāgatagarbha in Accordance with the Mental Faculty through Dependent Arising

Question: When attempting a high jump aiming for one meter but only managing several tens of centimeters, is it the mental faculty (manas) that decides to jump only several tens of centimeters, or is it the Tathagatagarbha that, based on karmic seeds and conditions, can only facilitate a jump of several tens of centimeters?

Answer: If the karmic conditions are not sufficient, and the physical body's state cannot reach the target, the Tathagatagarbha can only act according to the conditions and cannot follow the wishes of the mental faculty. It is like someone wishing to become a Buddha right now; if the karmic conditions are not present, the Tathagatagarbha is powerless, after all, one cannot make bricks without straw.
