When learning the Dharma of suffering, emptiness, impermanence, and non-self within the realm of the five aggregates, contemplation influences and guides the manas, preventing it from clinging to these impermanent, arising-and-ceasing phenomena. When studying various Dharma principles, one should always contemplate to influence the manas. Once the manas comprehends the Dharma principles, clinging and attachment will gradually diminish. Proper and dharmic contemplation and observation is the effective way to guide the manas.
