Why Is the Manas Susceptible to Influence During Meditation?

Why is it easier to gain clarity and for the mental faculty to be influenced during meditation? Because when sitting in meditation, the conscious mind quiets down, ceasing its delusive thoughts. With fewer instances of erroneous inference and conceptual discrimination, direct perception predominates. This makes it easier to influence the mental faculty, which in turn engages in contemplating the Dharma principles alongside consciousness, enabling one to comprehend principles more easily and quickly.
