All Dharmas Belong to None

All dharmas in the world can be utilized by me, yet not a single one belongs to me, for I am not the master of these dharmas. All dharmas were neither produced nor transformed by me; ownership does not reside with me—I possess only the right of use. Therefore, one should adopt an attitude of complying with conditions toward all worldly dharmas: if they can be used, employ them temporarily; if they cannot be used, do not force the matter. After all, I possess nothing, and forever will possess nothing. Having what is useful suffices—why struggle and strive for more? Only when there is no seeking, only when the mind is empty, does great merit and virtue manifest. Then, excellent worldly benefits will flow continuously and abundantly, solely for my use, yet still not belonging to me.
