The Difference Between "All Dharmas Are Created by Mind" and "Mind-Only Manifestation"

"Mind-only creation" means that creation is the function of using the seeds of the four great elements to fashion all dharmas, and only the mind of tathāgatagarbha possesses this function and capacity. "Mind-only manifestation" means that there are eight minds capable of manifesting all dharmas; the eight consciousnesses are the perceiving-aspect (darśana-bhāga), the manifesting subject, while all dharmas are the object-aspect (nimitta), the manifested. Each consciousness differs in its capacity to manifest objects, and the object-aspects manifested within each mind also differ from one another: the greater the capacity, the fewer the causal conditions required, and the more real the manifested object-aspect; the smaller the capacity, the more causal conditions it depends upon, and the more false the manifested object-aspect.
