How to observe the nature of impermanence and change in the matter of vehicles? At one time, one sees various vehicles that are new, beautifully adorned, and exceedingly delightful. At another time, one sees those same vehicles rotted and stripped of adornments. Having observed this, one then reflects thus: "Such conditioned phenomena are indeed impermanent in nature." The rest is as previously mentioned.

How to observe the nature of impermanence and change in the matter of clothing? By observing various garments that are newly made at one time, worn out and damaged at another, fresh and clean at one time, yet soiled and greasy at another. Having observed this, one then reflects thus: "Such conditioned phenomena are indeed impermanent in nature."
