The Yogācārabhūmi-śāstra: Volume 34 (Part 90)

Due to the natural extinction of the aggregates caused by previous karmic afflictions, there is no remaining grasping, and because there is no continuation, in the realm of Nirvana without remainder of clinging, one attains Parinirvana. In this, there is no one who attains Parinirvana, just as in the cycle of birth and death there is no one who transmigrates. Only all sufferings are permanently extinguished; tranquility, coolness, and extinction. Only this place is the most tranquil, that is, abandoning all bases, exhaustion of craving and detachment from desire, permanently extinguishing Nirvana.

Because the aggregates caused by previous karmic afflictions naturally extinguish, there is no more grasping towards the world of the Three Realms, and the life of future existences will not continue. Attaining Nirvana in the realm of Nirvana without remainder, yet there is no one who attains Parinirvana, similarly in Samsara there is no one who transmigrates. Only all sufferings are permanently extinguished; tranquility and coolness, extinguishing all dharmas. Only this place of Nirvana is the most tranquil, abandoning all bases, craving is permanently exhausted and detached from all desires, permanently extinguishing the five aggregates, entering Nirvana without remainder.
