While dozing off, I heard a loud noise and suddenly understood that during auditory perception, ear consciousness discerns first, followed by mental consciousness. Whether this constitutes direct realization depends on specific circumstances. Direct realization requires compelling evidence that is both sufficient and necessary—evidence that can completely convince the mental faculty, leaving no room for doubt. Individuals possess varying levels of wisdom; thus, the conditions needed for realization differ. For some, a single piece of evidence or one instance is enough, while others, even when presented with all evidence and witnessing numerous examples, can never be certain nor achieve realization.
