How to Attain the Perfect Fulfillment of Worldly Dharmas Most Swiftly

Almost everyone pursues worldly dharmas, wishing to be the most supreme, the most beautiful, the most talented, the wealthiest, the wisest, the most virtuous, the most cultivated, the most respected, and the most perfect in all aspects within the world, including family and relatives. So how can one achieve this goal and attain it most swiftly?

The answer is to engage in cultivation—to practice wholeheartedly and earnestly, striving as much as possible to relinquish the self. Only the path of cultivation can swiftly and perfectly fulfill these aspirations; there is no other way. Other paths cannot eradicate greed, hatred, and delusion, nor can they bring perfection to human virtue, cultivation, or worldly dharmas. Consider the Buddha, who is the supreme sovereign of the Three Realms, perfectly endowed with all dharmas, including worldly dharmas. In worldly matters, the Buddha excels in everything, standing at the pinnacle, unmatched by any other. While bodhisattvas are not the ultimate when compared to the Buddha, they surpass all worldly beings. Whatever worldly people aspire to and admire, bodhisattvas possess in full measure—it is merely a matter of whether they choose to manifest or utilize these qualities.

Only through successful cultivation can one’s blessings, wisdom, talents, wealth, family, and all else become complete, perfect, and beautiful. This includes aesthetic discernment, language skills, eloquence, unimpeded debating prowess, and all forms of refinement, which will be enhanced. We must focus our minds entirely on the path of cultivation and cease directing our efforts toward worldly dharmas, for the gains do not offset the losses. When our cultivation efforts advance, the mind becomes exquisitely subtle, perception grows keen and wise, inspiration arises effortlessly in all endeavors, and one radiates spiritual aura. Cultivation is the greatest and swiftest path to attaining supreme worldly dharmas.
