The Difference Between Anutpattikadharmakṣānti and Dharmānupattikakṣānti

The realization of non-arising is the comprehension that the five aggregates constituting the body are produced and sustained by the Tathagatagarbha; the comprehension that the five-aggregate body is empty, illusory, and devoid of self; the comprehension that the Tathagatagarbha neither arises nor ceases, while being able to generate all phenomena, and that it abides within the five-aggregate body, transforming and producing one's own five aggregates across successive lifetimes. Based on the degree of realization, this is confined to the Three Worthy Stages and has not yet entered the saintly stage.

The patient endurance of the non-arising of dharmas (anutpattika-dharma-ksanti) is founded upon the realization of non-arising and further involves the realization that all dharmas are also non-arising, the realization of the mind-only nature of all dharmas, and the subjugation of self-attachment (not yet eradicated). This marks the initial entry into the saintly stage, where one abides without regression.
