The Value and Rarity of Contemplative Wisdom

<h2 style="text-indent: 2em;">"Many highly intelligent people tend to rely on intuition rather than rational thinking when making decisions." This is the understanding of worldly people. Why is it that among the many of us Buddhists, no one possesses such observational insight and understanding? Including all the Buddhist masters.</h2>

Those in society who engage in philosophy, psychology, and sociology possess extraordinary observational wisdom, far surpassing the practitioners in our Buddhist community. Why has the wisdom of people in Buddhist circles declined so much? The debaters, whether professional or amateur, have observational and analytical abilities that are painful to behold. They only know how to rely on people, not on the Dharma. With such weak observational ability, how could they possibly rely on the Dharma? If all kinds of elites from society came to study and practice Buddhism, what would Buddhism look like?
