What is Actual Realization?

Many people talk about experiential realization every day. What is meant by "real"? Real means actuality, and actuality refers to the present-moment experiential state of the manas. The level to which the manas attains determines the level of cultivation. This is because the manas is the sovereign consciousness, commanding the physical, verbal, and mental actions of the six consciousnesses. The understanding of the mental consciousness is not actuality, because the mental consciousness cannot govern physical, verbal, and mental actions.

Experiential realization still requires realization by the manas. For the manas to realize, samadhi is indispensable. Without sufficient samadhi, the manas cannot realize; it can only be the understanding of the mental consciousness. Therefore, without samadhi, do not speak of experiential realization.
