Seeking the Breakthrough Point for Eradicating the View of Self through Contemplative Practice

In contemplative practice (vipaśyanā-caryā) for eradicating the view of self (satkāya-dṛṣṭi), sometimes, for some people, there is no need to be exhaustive in every respect, contemplating every single aspect. As long as one breaks through at a single point and opens one gate, the five aggregates (pañca-skandha) and the eighteen realms can all be seen through completely, and one realizes no-self. Breaking through at one point can carry along all the rest. Which point that is varies from person to person: each person's weak link is different, so the focus differs, and the point of breakthrough also differs; it depends on one's own conditions and affinities.
